Black coffee as she opens her eyes
With a look that's still clouded with dreams
She smiles with no thoughts of arising
We're here for the day, so it seems
Mid-morning finds two bodies in rapture
The day passing by unseen
The joy with which perfection is captured
We're here at last, who cares where we've been?
This is the world I've been looking for
Late afternoon twilight creeps in unexpected
Or maybe unnoticed's the word
Dark steals upon us like dawn more or less did
Night draws in and longs to be shared
This is the world...
Thoughts, words, but the language is touch
And the story is one from the heart
Should twilight sketch an ending, as such
We'll re-trace each word back to the start
Dark falls like the veil of her hair
Lips drawing closer to mine
Her touch is just everywhere
Her taste is warmth and hard to define
This is the world...
